This animation explores the immersive world
we slip into when we put on our headphones,
and lose ourselves to music. It’s a visual interpretation of how it feels to get lost
in sound.

We often tune out the real world with our
own beloved playlists. The audio is made
from field recordings taken during walks
around Liverpool, creating music from the
city itself! Now captured within its own
soundtrack, the everyday sounds we block
out can be appreciated in a musically
immersive experience.

630 frames were individually hand-painted
and digitally enhanced using Photoshop and
After Effects. The abstract visuals and vibrant colours create a visual interpretation of what
it feels like to get lost in music.
